Exhibits at the Orlando Science Center 

Whether your kids are more interested in the natural or man-made world, you’re sure to find an exhibit at the Orlando Science Center that will hold their interest. 

Learn all about food systems in the Food Heroes exhibit and then visit the past in the DinoDigs exhibit. For a hands-on experience, take your kids ages 0-7 to KidsTown, where they can learn while they play. Older kids (ages 8 and up) can use their creativity to build something new in the Hive: a MakerSpace.

Additionally, visitors can take part in one of the Science Center’s Scheduled Experiences. These experiences include flight simulations (for guests ages 13 and up), an observatory, and the chance to participate in science experiments in Dr. Dare’s Lab. Scheduled experiences occur at special times, so be sure to check the calendar if there’s one you don’t want to miss! 

Once you’ve toured all the exhibits, take a load off at one of the Orlando Museum of Science two theaters. The Science Center’s Dr. Phillips CineDome features different films throughout the year, all projected onto an enormous (8,000 square-foot!) screen. You can also view one of the center’s Science Live! Shows at the Digital Adventure Theater.

And just when you thought the Orlando Science Center couldn’t get any better… it does. In addition to its permanent exhibits, the Science Center also regularly schedules special events that appeal to a variety of ages. Additionally, you can rent space to hold an event of your own, whether that’s a wedding, birthday party, or another private event. 

Special Events

The Orlando Science Center keeps an up-to-date event calendar, so you can choose from a variety of events that meet you and your family’s specific interests. In the past, the museum has offered kids nights for the little ones, as well as adult-centric events, like a “Science on Tap” event where adults can sample local brews. 

Additionally, schools can plan field trips to the Orlando Science Center, where students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of programs depending on your school’s specific learning objectives. The Science Center also has homeschool programs and camp programs, including summer break and other break camps. 

Venue Rentals 

The Orlando Science Center is a great place to host your next event, whether you’re planning a birthday party, corporate gathering, or even a wedding. 

The Science Center’s standard birthday party package provides free admission and parking to 27 guests (plus the birthday child and two caregivers), as well as two extra-large pizzas, cake, 90 minutes in a private room, and more. When planning the party, you can choose from several themes to find the one that most suits the special birthday guest, such as:

• Weird Science

Birthday party add-ons are also available if you’d like to upgrade food options or add time to your birthday party.

Individuals can choose between a variety of rental spaces within the Science Center to say their “I Do’s,” including DinoDigs, FINFROCK Terrace, and Our Planet.

Ticket Prices, Location, and Hours at the Orlando Science Center

Ready to think like a scientist? The Orlando Science Center is located in north Orlando, just off I-4:

Upon arriving at the Orlando Science Center, you can find parking at the Orlando Science Center’s parking garage (782 Princeton Street, Orlando, FL 32803). Be sure to bring a few bucks, as parking costs $5. You can also get to the Science Center by SunRail, as there is a stop located nearby.  

The ticket prices for attending the Orlando Science Center are listed below. Additionally, OSC also has special rates for military and first responders, Florida educators, and those with EBT or WIC cards. Before arriving at the Orlando Science Center, make sure you have reserved a timed-entry ticket online.

Of course, you’ll want to ensure that the Science Center is open for your visit! OSC is open Monday through Sunday from 10AM to 5PM, with some closures on major holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving.
